Place your transfer in the desired position, ensuring there are no large wrinkles in the area you're pressing. For hats or when using a household iron, heat-resistant tape can be helpful to keep the transfer in place. With experience, you'll know when it's necessary.
Pro Tip: Instead of positioning the shirt with the collar facing away from you, try flipping it so the collar is closer. While this might feel unusual at first, as the transfer will be facing away, you'll quickly see the benefits of this method and never return to the old approach. Set your heat press to 310°F (155°C) with medium to high pressure and press for 13 seconds. It's always a good idea to test on a sample piece first. Use a Silicone Upper Platen Cover and Garment Protector to shield your garment from direct contact with the heat plate. While you can't damage the transfer with excess heat, pressure, or time, applying too much heat may scorch the fabric.
If you notice scorching, try reducing the pressure first. If that doesn’t solve the issue, keep the reduced pressure and lower the temperature by 10-15°F. With some practice, you’ll find the optimal settings for each fabric and garment.

Thanks to our exclusive Easy Peel Technology, you can peel the transfer either hot or cool. Simply wait a few seconds (or longer) before peeling! If any parts of the design are not fully adhered, simply place it back on the press and apply more heat and pressure (+15°F). If that doesn't work, gradually increase the temperature in 15°F increments until the transfer fully adheres. The best part about Kings Dtf Transfer is that repeated pressing won't damage the design.
Important: Unlike most DTF companies that recommend pressing only once, we have discovered through extensive wash tests that a final press is essential for achieving the best results.
Once the design has transferred onto the garment and the film is peeled off, cover the design with the provided parchment paper or a layer of t-shirt material, then press for about 15 seconds. This step improves the durability, softness, and reduces any shine, enhancing the overall quality of your product. If you prefer a glossy finish, use a guard sheet for the second and final press instead.
